and that’s it done.
in the end using amazon’s kdp publishing thing was marvellously simple even if it has added some odd double spacing that i can’t quite figure out. i don’t think, given the limitations of the kindle it makes that much of a difference but we’ll fix it when find out what’s causing it.
i did have some problems uploading the cover image. nt that it was actually a problem – i just hadn’t read the image criteria properly. their system really is that simple so that any error is most likely that of the user. that said while html is great it is a mire to work with when you’re not used to it. and, if you want to edit. in our case at least, it downloads the zip file to photoshop for some reason that remains beyond us.
still, despite not having a go to computer person, it was good fun and another push up the learning curve. i’m still not sold on the kindle as a way of reading but it is great for getting material out cheaply and these days i think that’s important.
lastly, i’m loving that cover image so thanks to tracy for getting that together.
